EClass works with a select group of clients to develop custom electric inboard solutions — tailored to the vessel, the performance target and how it’s actually used. Available from 3 kW up to 20 kW — the same 60HP-equivalent top end as our largest outboard — engineered on the same platform, designed and built in Kiama, NSW.

Custom inboards are configured per vessel rather than sold as a fixed catalog item, but they’re built on the same motor, battery and charger platform as the rest of the EClass range. Indicative tiers below — confirmed against your hull and duty cycle.

These tiers are indicative, not a price list. A custom inboard is scoped around your hull’s displacement, duty cycle and the battery capacity you need — tell us the vessel and we’ll confirm the right configuration rather than quote off a chart that doesn’t fit it.

Custom inboards suit displacement hulls and purpose-built craft particularly well: launches, cruise boats carrying 6 to 30 passengers, historic vessel repowers, and research, rescue, tourism, community or training vessels. Each system is configured with you — and your designer or marine professional, if you have one — for the range, power and efficiency that vessel actually needs.

Hull type, displacement, how it’s used and by whom. Bring your naval architect or marine surveyor in if you’ve got one — we’re used to working alongside them.

Motor, battery capacity and charging matched to your duty cycle — not a generic figure off a chart.

Built, tested and commissioned in Kiama
Designed, fabricated, assembled and tested on the same platform as the rest of the EClass range, then supported through commissioning.

What power range do EClass custom inboards cover?
From 3 kW up to 20 kW — the same 60HP-equivalent top end as our largest outboard. Voltage scales with power, typically 48V for smaller systems and 96V as power climbs toward the top of the range. Exact configuration is confirmed against your vessel.
Is a custom inboard an off-the-shelf product?
No. We work with a select group of clients to develop custom electric inboard solutions tailored to the specific vessel, performance requirements and use case, rather than selling a fixed catalog item.

How is this different from an EClass RePower Kit?
A RePower Kit converts an existing outboard, reusing its casing. A custom inboard is a ground-up electric propulsion system built into the hull itself — a different scope of project, typically for larger or purpose-built vessels.
